McKenzie offers a comprehensive selection of fish paint schedules exclusively using the Polytranspar line of airbrush paints. All of the paint used for each individual species of fish is compiled on a list of paints, in this section. Each chart has a set of paints needed in both water based and lacquer based paint systems; use the paint system that suits you best.
Listed here are commonly used Polytranspar paints for coldwater fish. Colors may vary due to variable conditions. We recommend having a good paint schedule and photo reference to obtain good results. Colors are suitable for a reproduction or skin mount.
Please Note: All of these species and their respective lists call out for 8 ounce bottles. This can be determined by the "-8OZ" at the end of the product number (SKU). Should you prefer 4 ounce bottle, swap in "-4OZ" instead of the "-8OZ" (leaving the beginning numbers unchanged).
