This pedestal mount system has changed the way taxidermists do their jobs, eliminating the use of steel tubes and loose fitting connections. Ideal for medium to large game heads up to the size of a caribou (not elk or moose). These pedestal support sets are some of the easiest to use pedestal mount systems on the market and allow for cutting and modifications to suit your requirements.

The hexagonal tapered pedestal shaft gives a perfect fit every time. Can be shortened by joining both components together first then cutting to length. Place a 6mm (1/4") threaded rod inside with a nut at both ends and tighten slightly. This rod adds strength to the part and should always be used for a good secure attachment to your base (threaded rod sold separately). Using a spade bit with an extension, drill into your manikin and then push bondo up into the drilled hole then slide receiver in and let harden. You now have a very strong removable mount that has 6 points of positioning.
