Mounting a Flying Turkey DVD
Danny Owens resides near Lubbock, Texas, where he has operated a full-service taxidermy business for over 25 years. Though he is proficient in all areas of taxidermy, he is best known for his realistic bird mounts. Danny is an Award of Excellence recipient and has won numerous National Championship awards and has judged five World Taxidermy competitions. He has also won Best of Show at the National Taxidermy Show and Convention and at several State and Regional conventions.
In this video Danny starts with a turkey skin (belly incision)that has already been prepared for mounting, and a pre-painted artificial head. He demonstrates how to re-create the neck using the wrapped method, form preparation, wiring the wings and legs, and grooming. Also includes injecting the feet and painting the legs. 2 3/4 Hours.
