Jeff Lumsden's White Fish Form Prep

Thinner white color for hand - carved foam mannikins.

When finished detailing your hand-carved mannikin and all dust has been blown free, apply a thin even coat with a spatula of white Fish Form Prep over an entire side of your carving, pressing the material into the cells of the foam. Use a soft bristled brush dipped in water to smooth and blend the material. Once dry, apply a coat to the opposite side. When both sides are completely dry they can be easily sanded using a medium grit sand paper for a smooth, durable white surface. A second coat can be applied to areas that contain larger scratches or holes and sanded. Your custom mannikin is ready to receive your fish and will dry convincingly, without any evidence of the porous foam beneath!

    1. Carve mannikin from foam.

    2. Spread on with spatula.

    3. Smooth with a wet brush.

    4. Allow to dry and sand smooth.
