For trouble-free display of the Wall Habitat®, the tab built into the habitat should be secured flush, or at least parallel, to the backboard of the form.
Thick or long-haired hides create a ridge when overlapping the back of the form that may prevent the habitat from being secured properly causing problems when hanging the mount on the wall.

One solution is to trim or shave back the hair on the overlap where the habitat will be installed. |
Another solution is to trim the overlap close to the edge and insert a spacer that is the thickness of the overlap. |
