Randy Nelson resides in Madelia, Minnesota and began his taxidermy career in 1984. Randy owns Total Enviro-Design which is geared towards making quality habitat materials, such as Quik-Rock and artificial trees. Seeing a need for habitat techniques, Randy began writing numerous articles for Breakthrough Magazine on all aspects of habitat construction (snow, rocks, trees, groundwork, water, ice, etc). He is also an accomplished taxidermist, having won awards at State and World levels.

In this video, Randy shares his unique techniques and the products that he uses to produce his stunning basework. Randy covers the complete base construction for a variety of environments, including creating ground effects for dirt, snow, ice, and water.
