Ray Hatfield resides in Cody, Wyoming, where he operates a full-time studio with 20 employees, specializing in African and large Life-size animals. Along with some of his staff, Ray has won "Best in World" in the Collective Artist Division with a beautiful Leopard/Bush Pig Mount. More recently, Ray won the 2009 1st Place Best of Category Game Head in the Collective Artists Division with a giraffe. He has also won numerous "Taxidermists Choice" Awards and other awards at World, National, and State level Competitions.

Ray starts out showing you how to make alterations to the form, to fit your cape, and then using a tanned cape, begins the complete mounting procedure, and using Bondo method for the ears. On disc 2, all the finishing and painting work is covered in great detail, as well as how to fix blemishes, including throat seams, that you may typically find on African hogs.
