Ray Hatfield resides in Cody, Wyoming, where he operates a full-time studio with 20 employees, specializing in African and large Life-size animals. Along with some of his staff, Ray has won "Best in World" in the Collective Artist Division with a beautiful Leopard/Bush Pig Mount. More recently, Ray won the 2009 1st Place Best of Category Game Head in the Collective Artists Division with a giraffe. He has also won numerous "Taxidermists Choice" Awards and other awards at World, National, and State level Competitions.

On the first disc, Ray starts with a tanned hide and shows you his techniques for mounting a life-size brown bear, including minor adjustments to the form, Bondo ears, claying the toes, etc. On the second disc is all the finishing work, which includes rebuilding around the eyes, nose, lips. Also includes painting and detailing techniques. Includes lost of close-up footage.
